Your data and a new iPhone
Your records are stored only on this iPhone. In 1.0 there is no account, no cloud sync and no file export.
Your records are part of your iPhone’s own backup (iCloud Backup or a computer backup), so restoring or moving to a new iPhone brings them along. The same goes for Quick Start, when you move straight from your old iPhone.
If you delete the app, your records go with it, unless you restore from an iPhone backup made before you deleted it.
The seal isn’t on the Lock Screen
- Go to iOS Settings → Apps → Jeolmi → Live Activities and turn it on.
- Check iOS Settings → Face ID & Passcode → Allow Access When Locked → Live Activities.
- iOS ends a count-up Live Activity after eight hours. Open the app and it offers to continue.
Widgets not updating
iOS refreshes widgets on its own schedule, so a few minutes of lag is normal. Grapes on the widget fill at each 25-minute mark and are corrected the next time the app opens. If a widget is stuck for more than an hour, open the app once, turn off Low Power Mode, and if needed remove and re-add the widget. Widgets reset at your day boundary, so an early-morning “0” is the new day, not lost data.
When does a day end?
At 05:00 by default, so a session that runs past midnight still counts as the same day. Change it in Jeolmi Settings → Day starts at. Changing it doesn’t move sessions already recorded.
Notifications
At most one note a day, in the seal’s voice. A countdown that ends also sends a heads-up. Quiet Mode in Settings (or “Quiet for a week” on the note) stops the daily note. There are no other notifications: nothing about missed days, shops or friends.
Short answers
- Is it really free? Yes. Everything in 1.0 is free, with no in-app purchases.
- iPad or Android? No. Jeolmi runs on iPhone with iOS 26 or later.
- Languages? 한국어, English and 日本語. Switch any time in the app under Settings → Language; the seal's voice and the widgets switch too.
- Why did the seal fold a crane? It folds one when you come back after three days or more. The crane becomes one free desk item. It isn’t counting.
- Why is the seal in pajamas? Sessions started after 23:00 are in pajamas. The outfit comes back in the morning.
